BARB EGAN
Barb is an elder and respected Muti-Muthi, Gundtjmara and Wemba-Wemba woman from Balranald, NSW. A renown artist, Barb ran a design workshop in Robinvale for many years and can be found in galleries in Victoria and NSW.
The eldest of 10 children, Barb became and artist at a very young age. Formal education was denied so Barb learnt the art of dreaming through her life living on the Murray River. She has a diverse constantly evolving array of styles. Delicate and subtle designs on paper, works on ceramics and silks and bold traditional canvas paintings, all portraying the distinctive colours of the Australian bush and the memories of her childhood and the stories of her elders.
